June has arrived! Your child is finished with school, and perhaps back in January you didn't think summer camp was a necessity -- but now you're having second thoughts. Planning ahead, epsecially with kids, is hard. Needs change on an almost hourly basis sometimes, as do schedules and interests. Don't panic! The Austin Artery: The Austin Artery will be offering art camps for school aged children at Austin International School Monday through Friday from 9AM - 3PM. Creative Side Jewlery Academy of Austin: Creative Side is a great camp for kids ages 10-15 that love to draw and see those drawings realized in metal. Camp Balcones at Camp Fire: This summer camp at Emma Long Park is Austin's premier urban nature and science camp that sparks curiousity and inspires learning in kids ages 6-12. Camp Balcones has five unique weekly STEM-based themes that incorporate hands on, project based activities. Register here!
Badgerdog: Work with a professional writer in a fun, creative learning environment. Create poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, and learn the techniques writers use to connect with readers. Williamson Museum Camps: The Williamson Museum offers two summer camp programs, the Round Rock Roundup and the Poppies and Progress. With Poppies and Progress, your camper will experience life in World War I, including the food and culture. With Round Rock Roundup, campers explore Round Rock's history from the early pioneers to the cowboying spirit of the Chisholm Trail. Register here!
